The Real Answer

I was saved at sixteen years of age and baptized just before my seventeenth birthday, but did not find out anything about the local church until I was in my early twenties. A friend sent me the book The Normal Christian Life and I started to read it, but at first I could not understand it at all. Therefore, I put it on my bookshelf for a long time. A few years later, after some very distressing circumstances, I was desperate to find some help and was not finding it in the small church group I was attending. I started listening to the radio and that wasn’t helping. Then I saw that book. I started reading it and found it was what I’d been looking for. I simply devoured that book for about six months and came to the local church the summer of 1967. Praise the Lord!
